Members of the Critter Haven group are:
VOLUNTEERS, with the ideals and goals of ending the exploitation of innocent animals in the sale, breeding, and continuation and proliferation of unhealthy and uncertified animals. These animals have not been proven to be free of genetic and/or hereditary problems. These are the motives behind, and the reason for, the formation of this organization, endeavoring to bring attention to the public by educating them in regard to the problems with "pet store" puppies and kitties. Critter Haven is mainly involved in the education of the public, making them aware of the dangers of buying their pets from Pet Stores who sell Puppy Mill puppies who are not genetically sound causing bad temperaments, costly health problems, etc. Our educational program is to visit schools, pass out flyers where appropriate, help with our fundraising (to benefit rescue organizations, etc.), and to overall help us in our goal of ending puppy mills.
We advocate "Responsible Breeding and Ownership", and will do our utmost to end these atrocities.
