It takes up to 60 mink to make one coat, 25 foxes to make another, 40 raccoons, 35 coyotes and 180 rabbits. In the large photo above, a trapper stomps a coyote to death by standing on her throat; the animal has been caught by the legs in two traps. Tens of millions of furbearing animals are caught in such cruel and deadly devices. Another four million mink and foxes are raised on fur farms, inside tiny cages where these wild animals are driven insane by their confinement. Killing methods vary; asphixation, bludgeoning, neck-breaking or anal electrocution. Seals are simply clubbed to death.
